Laravel Developer

We are looking for a Laravel developer to join the engineering team at L2 Interactive! This position will initially be responsible for engineering our marketing automation software on Laravel from CodeIgnitor. This position works closely with our digital marketing product development team and the L2 technical team to assist in architecting the product and write code using best practices and industry standards. We are looking for someone with strong programming skills who has learned to apply those skills to software development in a team environment. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desired. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  1. Develop L2 products in Laravel using specific tools and technologies; document code using best practice standards
  2. Create efficiencies in the transition from CodeIgnitor to Laravel in the product itself and API endpoints
  3. Write code using a variety of front and back end technical skills i.e. build templates, develop product features
  4. Test and troubleshoot code, and use best practices in regards to code quality and testing
  5. Provide insights and learning to the development team as it relates to client troubleshooting and feature development and industry best practices
  6. Provide levels of effort and meet documented project timelines and milestones set forth by the Product Manager and L2 Lead Back End Engineer

Skills Required:

  • 4 years+ PHP, MySQL, Javascript/Vue.js, CSS/Sass
  • Excellent understanding and experience using PHP frameworks
  • Full understanding and working knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Ability to analyze code, understand implications of change requested and refactor or write code
  • Working knowledge of Laravel and CodeIgnitor
  • Ability to solve complex problems and think critically when identifying solutions
  • Experience with asset packaging systems like Webpack or Gulp
  • Experience using an IDE, preferably PHP Storm (NetBeans, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code optional)
  • Source Control (git, GitHub)

  • SaaS product development
  • Cloud hosting, specifically AWS and server admin experience (NGINX)
  • Experience working at an Agency
